WellGuard privacy policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026
This policy explains how the WellGuard iPhone app handles your information. It is written for people in Australia. WellGuard is a wellbeing companion that helps you notice patterns in work strain and recovery from short daily check-ins. It is not a medical device. It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and it does not provide medical, psychological, or emergency advice. If you are in danger or need urgent help, call Triple Zero (000). For crisis support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
Who provides WellGuard
WellGuard is provided by ARROW HEALTH SOLUTIONS PTY LTD (trading as Arrow Health Solutions), ABN 27 698 339 454, Queensland, Australia. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Arrow Health Solutions.
We treat this Privacy Policy as applying under the Australian Privacy Principles. If you have a privacy complaint, see “Questions and complaints” (including the OAIC).
Summary
- Your check-ins are stored on your iPhone. Arrow Health does not run a server that receives them.
- There is no WellGuard or Arrow account to create.
- If you have WellGuard Pro and turn on iCloud sync, copies go to your private iCloud storage with Apple. We cannot see them.
- Your employer does not receive your check-ins from us. WellGuard is not an employer-reporting product, and we do not provide employer dashboards.
- We do not sell personal information and the app has no advertising or analytics tools.
- The only personal information we hold is what you send us if you email us for support.
Check-ins stay on your iPhone
When you complete a daily check-in, your answers (such as mood, work pattern, meeting load, hours worked, and any notes you type) are saved on your iPhone.
- The free version does not need an account or iCloud. Free Insights use your last 7 check-ins.
- You can view, edit, or delete individual check-ins in the app at any time.
- Settings → Clear local data removes your check-ins and app settings from this iPhone, turns iCloud sync off, and cancels reminders. It does not delete copies already in iCloud and does not cancel a subscription.
Optional iCloud sync (WellGuard Pro)
If you have WellGuard Pro, you can turn on Sync check-ins with iCloud in Settings. It is off unless you turn it on, and it is not switched back on automatically on a new device. Sync uses Apple’s iCloud on your Apple Account, stored in a private area that only your Apple Account can access. Arrow Health cannot see this data.
- What is copied to iCloud: your check-ins, including mood, work pattern, meeting load, hours, and any notes you type; a record of check-ins you have deleted (so they do not reappear on other devices); and some app settings (whether you finished setup, your Apple Health choices, and reminder on/off, time, and mute).
- What is not copied: Apple Health data (sleep, steps, State of Mind), your subscription status, and the sync on/off setting itself.
- When sync is on, deleting a check-in deletes it from this iPhone and from your iCloud copy.
- If Pro ends: sync stops. Your check-ins stay on your iPhone, and any copy already in iCloud stays there until you delete it.
- Deleting the app does not delete your iCloud copy. To remove it, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Storage (or Manage Account Storage), choose WellGuard, and delete its data.
When sync is off, your check-ins do not leave your iPhone.
Optional Apple Health
If you allow it, WellGuard can read the following from Apple Health:
- Sleep and steps — shown as recovery context on the Home screen
- State of Mind — used only for Insights (iOS 18 or later; a separate setting that is off unless you turn it on)
WellGuard only reads this data; it never writes to Apple Health. It does not receive Health updates in the background. Health data is not copied to iCloud and is never sent to us. If you say no, the rest of the app still works.
You can change or remove WellGuard’s access at any time: open the Health app, tap your profile picture, then under Privacy tap Apps, then WellGuard.
Insights are worked out on your iPhone
- Insights (trends, patterns, and suggestions) are produced on your iPhone. Where your iPhone supports Apple’s on-device AI, WellGuard uses it; otherwise, or if it takes too long, it uses built-in rules.
- Your check-ins are not sent to Apple’s cloud AI, to us, or to any other AI service.
- Free Insights use your last 7 check-ins. Pro Insights use your full history on the device, including check-ins downloaded from your iCloud.
Optional reminders
Check-in reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. We do not send push notifications or marketing messages.
WellGuard Pro payments
- WellGuard Pro is an optional auto-renewable monthly subscription. It renews automatically until you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (Apple’s standard App Store renewal rules apply).
- The price and billing period are shown by Apple in the App Store / purchase sheet before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Apple collects payment. We do not receive your card details, and we do not receive your name or email from your purchase.
- You can restore purchases in the app. To cancel, go to Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or use Manage subscription in the app. Deleting the app or clearing local data does not cancel your subscription.
- Any unused portion of a paid period is handled under Apple’s App Store subscription / refund rules (and the Australian Consumer Law where it applies).
- Pro unlocks your full check-in history on the device and the option to turn on iCloud sync.
- Your licence to use the app is under Apple’s Standard EULA; this Privacy Policy and the Terms of Use give WellGuard-specific detail. Link: Apple’s Standard EULA. Subscription detail is also in Terms §8.
What WellGuard does not do
- No WellGuard or Arrow account, and no Sign in with Apple
- No Arrow server that stores your check-ins
- No third-party advertising, analytics, or crash-reporting tools, and no tracking across other apps
- No location tracking
- No sharing or selling of your information
If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone settings, Apple may give us crash reports and summary usage statistics. These do not include your check-ins. If we receive them, we use them only to fix crashes or understand stability, we do not sell them, and we do not combine them with support emails to build a profile about you.
Information we hold: support emails
If you email us at wellguard@arrowhealthsolutions.com.au, we receive your email address, name (if included), and whatever you write. We use it only to reply and to help with your request.
Please do not paste your check-in history, private notes, or other health details into email unless you choose to. Check-ins stay on your iPhone (and in your iCloud copy only if you turn sync on); we cannot look them up from here. If you include sensitive details in an email, we will still use that email only to reply and help with your request, and the retention/deletion rules below apply.
Our email is provided by Google Workspace. Google may store or process emails outside Australia. We keep support emails only as long as we need them to help you, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
By emailing us for support, you acknowledge that your message may be stored or processed on servers outside Australia by Google Workspace (often including the United States), as described above and in “Apple’s role and overseas processing”.
Accessing or correcting your information
Check-ins are under your control in the app. You can view, edit, or delete them at any time, and we cannot access them. To access or correct information we hold about you (such as a support email), email us. We will not charge you to make a request.
Apple’s role and overseas processing
Apple handles App Store purchases and (if you turn it on) iCloud storage under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. Apple’s privacy policy is at apple.com/au/legal/privacy.
When you buy WellGuard Pro or turn on iCloud sync, Apple may store or process related information outside Australia (Apple’s systems often include the United States and other countries where Apple operates). We do not control Apple’s storage locations.
If you email support, our mailbox is Google Workspace. Google may store or process those emails outside Australia (often including the United States). We use your email only to reply and help with your request (see “Information we hold: support emails”).
Children
WellGuard is intended for people 18 years or older and is not directed at children under 18. We do not collect date of birth or verify age in the app.
Changes to this policy
If we change how WellGuard handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change takes effect. For material changes, we will also use reasonable additional notice where practicable (for example an in-app notice once that mechanism is available).
Questions and complaints
To ask a question or make a privacy complaint, email us at wellguard@arrowhealthsolutions.com.au with the details. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
