WellGuard terms of use
Last updated: 21 September 2026
These terms explain how you may use the WellGuard iPhone app. They are written for people in Australia.
Your licence to use WellGuard
WellGuard is licensed to you under Apple’s Standard End User Licence Agreement (Standard EULA). These terms and the Privacy Policy add information specific to WellGuard (including Australian Consumer Law notes, Pro subscription detail, and how check-ins / iCloud / Apple Health work).
If these terms conflict with Apple’s Standard EULA on the licence to use the app, the Standard EULA prevails for that licence. These terms still apply to the extent they cover topics the Standard EULA does not (and to the extent Australian law requires).
1. Who provides WellGuard
WellGuard is provided by ARROW HEALTH SOLUTIONS PTY LTD (trading as Arrow Health Solutions), ABN 27 698 339 454, ACN 698 339 454, QLD 4165, Australia. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Arrow Health Solutions.
2. What WellGuard is (and is not)
WellGuard is a wellbeing companion that helps you notice patterns in work strain and recovery from short daily check-ins.
- It is not a medical device.
- It is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition.
- It does not provide medical, psychological, or emergency advice, and it does not replace a health professional.
If you are in danger or need urgent help, call Triple Zero (000). For crisis support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
3. Who can use WellGuard
You must be at least 18 years old to use WellGuard. WellGuard is not directed at children under 18. You need an Apple Account and must use the App Store under Apple’s terms. We do not verify your age in the app; Apple’s account and purchase rules still apply.
4. Free use
The free version works without an account and without iCloud. Your check-ins are saved on your iPhone, and we do not run a server that receives them. Free Insights use your last 7 check-ins.
5. Optional iCloud sync (Pro)
With WellGuard Pro, you can turn on Sync check-ins with iCloud in Settings. It is off unless you turn it on. Sync uses Apple’s iCloud on your Apple Account; we cannot see the synced data.
- Your check-ins (including any notes you type) and some app settings are copied to iCloud. Apple Health data is not.
- If Pro ends, sync stops. Data already in iCloud stays there until you delete it.
- Deleting the app or clearing local data does not delete your iCloud copy. To remove it, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Storage (or Manage Account Storage), choose WellGuard, and delete its data.
- Sync depends on Apple’s iCloud service, which we do not control.
The privacy policy explains exactly what is copied.
6. Optional Apple Health
If you allow it, WellGuard reads sleep, steps, and State of Mind (iOS 18 or later) from Apple Health. It never writes to Apple Health, and Health data is not copied to iCloud or sent to us. You can remove access at any time in the Health app (profile picture → Privacy → Apps → WellGuard), and the rest of the app still works.
7. Insights
Insights are produced on your iPhone, using Apple’s on-device AI where supported and built-in rules otherwise. Your check-ins are not sent to any cloud AI service.
Insights (including trends, patterns, and suggestions) are general wellbeing reflections only. They are not medical, psychological, or occupational-health advice, and they are not a diagnosis, treatment plan, or instruction to change medication, work duties, or clinical care. Do not rely on Insights instead of a qualified health professional.
Free Insights use your last 7 check-ins; Pro uses your full history on the device.
If you are in danger or need urgent help, call Triple Zero (000). For crisis support, call Lifeline on 13 11 14.
8. WellGuard Pro subscription
- WellGuard Pro is an optional auto-renewable monthly subscription. It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period (Apple’s standard App Store renewal rules apply).
- The price and period are shown by Apple in the App Store / purchase sheet before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Apple collects payment.
- Cancel in Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions, or via Manage subscription in the app. Deleting the app or clearing local data does not cancel the subscription.
- Any unused portion of a paid period is handled under Apple’s App Store subscription / refund rules (and the Australian Consumer Law where it applies).
- Apple (not Arrow Health) charges your Apple Account for WellGuard Pro. For billing or refund requests about an App Store charge, use Apple’s subscription / purchase tools first (for example Report a Problem or Manage Subscriptions).
- Nothing in these terms removes your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. We will not tell you that ACL remedies never apply.
- Pro unlocks full check-in history on device and the option to turn on iCloud sync.
- Your licence to use the app is under Apple’s Standard EULA; these terms and the Privacy Policy give WellGuard-specific detail. Links: Apple’s Standard EULA; Privacy Policy: https://arrowhealthsolutions.com.au/wellguard/privacy
9. Reminders
Optional check-in reminders are scheduled on your iPhone. We do not send marketing messages.
10. Using WellGuard properly
- Use WellGuard for your own personal wellbeing reflection, in line with these terms and Apple’s terms.
- Do not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the app, or try to get Pro features without paying.
- You are responsible for your Apple Account, iCloud settings, and subscription.
- WellGuard is for your own personal wellbeing reflection. It is not a workplace surveillance or employer-reporting tool. We do not provide employer dashboards, and we do not send your check-ins to an employer.
11. Intellectual property
We (or our licensors) own WellGuard, including its name, design, and software. Your right to use the app comes from Apple’s Standard EULA. These terms do not transfer ownership to you. Your check-ins belong to you. Apple and Apple Health are trademarks of Apple Inc. All rights not expressly granted in these terms or Apple’s Standard EULA are reserved by Arrow Health Solutions.
12. Ending use
You can stop using WellGuard at any time by deleting the app and cancelling any subscription (see §8).
We may stop offering WellGuard, or restrict or suspend access, where reasonably necessary because of: (a) your misuse of the app or breach of these terms; (b) a legal or regulatory requirement; (c) a requirement or action by Apple; or (d) security, fraud, or safety concerns. Where practicable, we will give notice before we do so.
If we withdraw WellGuard from the App Store, any unused portion of a paid subscription period is handled under Apple’s App Store subscription / refund rules and the Australian Consumer Law where it applies. Deleting the app does not itself cancel a subscription.
13. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to a replacement, refund, compensation, or other remedy where required by law. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.
14. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot be excluded, restricted, or modified. §13 applies in full.
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage that was not reasonably foreseeable when you agreed to these terms, or for loss caused by events outside our reasonable control (including failures of Apple’s App Store, iCloud, or Apple Health).
Your licence to use the app under Apple’s Standard EULA is a separate relationship with Apple. Nothing in these terms limits any rights or remedies you may have against Apple under that EULA or Apple’s policies.
15. Governing law
These terms (the relationship between you and Arrow Health Solutions) are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia. This does not remove any consumer rights you have under the laws of the place where you live.
Subject to any non-excludable rights you have where you live, the courts of Queensland and of the Commonwealth of Australia have non-exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising under these terms as between you and Arrow Health Solutions.
Your licence to use the app under Apple’s Standard EULA may be governed by the law stated in that EULA (often including California law for the Apple relationship). That does not change the governing law of these terms as between you and us.
16. Changes to these terms
If we make material changes to these terms, we will update this page and the date at the top before they take effect. Where practicable, we will also give reasonable additional notice (for example in-app once available). Changes will not reduce your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
If you do not agree to material changes, you should stop using WellGuard and cancel any subscription (see §8 and §12).
